The product, in the report: Pellet Grill
I have had a Green Mountain Pellet grill for a little more than two years and notice major paint peeling and flaking on the interior of the grill. Flaking on food was what made me take notice. when summited for warranty claim I was advised to and I quote. The paint on the inside of the grill is food grade paint and is non-toxic. To treat the affected area(s) - scrape off any loose paint - vacuum the inside of the grill thoroughly - apply a thin coat of cooking oil to the affected area - heat grill to 350 and let burn in for 30-60 minutes
Meanwhile the manual states THIS PRODUCT CAN EXPOSE YOU TO CHEMICALS INCLUDING CHROMIUM (HEXAVALENT COMPOUNDS) AND CARBON DIOXIDE, WHICH ARE KNOWN TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO CAUSE BIRTH DEFECTS OR OTHER REPRODUCTIVE HARM, AND CAN EXPOSE YOU TO WOOD DUST, WHICH IS KNOWN TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO CAUSE CANCER. FOR MORE INFORMATION, GO TO [REDACTED]
Online research states that GMG started outsourcing there production to China to keep up with demands and as a result the quality of materials used has sunk by the time I purchased my grill. There has been a long line of parts replacements and two full replacements from my original purchase. At the the time of my last replacement I was told that it would restart my warranty yet they are telling me that does warrant replacement and I think for safety reasons it surely does.

The product, in the report: Outdoor Pellet grill
The consumer purchased the grill about 3 - 4 years ago. She and her husband experienced problems during the first year that they owned it.
1. The chimney wasn’t seal and the grease was coming out of it. 2. The wire harness melted and the consumer said that she has seen several other people post similar problems on [REDACTED]. The damage was limited to the grill. However, the consumer said that if her husband had not caught the issue, it would have shorted everything out in their home. The husband only discovered the issue, because he was replacing a part with a part that they sent him.
The consumer has been contacting the firm about these issues since the first year she owned the grill. The firm has sent replacement parts for the grill, but the consumer said that the parts are inferior and she does not believe that the grill would be safe if it was used again.
This grill can be operated 8 hours or more
