The product, in the report: Expert Grill Model: Commodore XG1136224169002 SN Sticker says: PO9573270367 202106001091 Pellet Grill [REDACTED]
The ExpertGrill Commodore is a fire waiting to happen. On multiple occasions now, I have attempted to use this pellet grill model Commodore XG1136224169002 manufactured by Expert Grill that I bought on July 23, 2023. At best, it refuses to stay on to be useable. The worst instance resulted in the grill over feeding pellets and creating a large uncontrolled fire which melted the paint and warped the grill components. I was luckily able to get the fire under control, but considering this grill requires it be plugged into an outlet, a fire like this could easily spread to a structure. The shut down procedure, which is supposed to prevent the pellet hopper from igniting has failed multiple times, amounting to a smoldering pellet hopper. Again, I was paying close enough attention to empty to hopper before it caught on fire. I have tried contacting ExpertGrill multiple times, but their phone number is disconnected and they do not respond to email. I can confirm this is not user error at this point. I have seen the power rapidly cycling on and off, and with everything I have experienced, no longer feel safe using this grill. It will cause a fire.
