The product, in the report: Electric smoker

After using the electric smoker for the first time, I went to clean it. The metal chips box and drip pan were soaking in the large laundry room sink. I picked up the washing drip pan and the sharp metal edge cut the side of my left index finger. It started bleeding, but not real bad. I put a little pressure on it with a paper towel and then continued to wash the remaining pieces in the sink. The sink water was soapy and as I put my hand into the water to grab the metal chips box, my hand slipped and the front edge of my right middle finger fell against the side of the box. The metal edges are so sharp, they are like a razor. My finger was cut down to the bone and the pain was excruciating. The bleeding would not stop. I rendered my own first aid, cleaning the wound and wrapping it up tight with bandages. The wound, over one-half inch long, continued to bleed for 3 days. As I am making out this report, my finger is swollen, continues to throb and is wrapped on a splint. I may have to seek professional medical attention. This product has many very sharp razor edges around the chip box and inside of the cabinets which your fingers and hands are supposed to touch. I returned the product to Lowes who stated they will send to the manufacturer.
