The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Jun 12, 2026, sent to the company Jun 18, 2026, published by CPSC Jul 7, 2026

The product, in the report: Coleman 18x48 pool Serial number is 0012245245, above-ground pool

I have purchased 2 Bestway swimming pools within the last 3 years. Both tore at the manufacturer seam. When it happened the first time I just replaced it but when it happened again yesterday I was like this is an issue. When it tore it was like a tsunami and the 3 kids in the pool could have been seriously injured. The serial number #0012245245 and the number below is #256002002146. I called on 6/11 the day it happened and the girl I spoke with said you are aware of this problem and working to make the wall stronger. So why have these not been recalled? Today I called back and spoke to someone named [REDACTED] and escalated it. It is not fair to only give a 6 month warranty for one thing and if you know this is an issue why are they still on the market?

The product, in the report: Bestway, Coleman 90425E Power Steel Pool and 52 inch pool ladder.

Purchased a Bestway Coleman 90425E Power Steel Pool on 5-7-2021. It was set up on 6-20-2021. Upon unboxing, several top rails and one vertical pool leg had minor dents in them. Within a month rust began to show on the frame. At just over two months, every T connector (22), 14 top rails and 6 vertical pool legs have rust. The ladder also had rust at all the junction points. I documented all the rust, including rust on the inside of the tubes when we dismantled the pool and stored it at the end of August. I submitted a warranty claim to Bestway on September 5, 2021. All they sent in response to the claim was a new ladder, two “t”connectors and two top rails. This pool holds 8,600 gallons of water for a total weight of 71,638 pounds. Given the extent of rust on the frame in less then 3 months of use, it is unsafe to reconstruct this pool this coming summer. They refuse to hold up their end of the warranty. The pool is unsafe and useless. I had an [REDACTED] steel frame pool for 10 years and with proper care it had barely any rust on the frame at the end of 10 years.
