The product, in the report: Yellow Hornet Zip Line Trolley
This product is dangerous. I emailed the manufacturer one week ago about my concerns. I have received no response, therefore, I feel obligated to alert the public. My daughter (8years old) planned a big birthday party for herself in the backyard. Our backyard zip line was one of the major attractions, and, as a present I bought a yellow hornet trolley. It looks great, appears to be very well-made...only there is one problem. The release pin that allows the device to be detached from the cable. It releases spontaneously and causes the riders to fall to the ground. It happened once, and I thought that the child (kids were 8-12 years old) had probably touched the release pin. I warned everyone NOT TO TOUCH THE BLUE BUTTON, and I personally followed and watched two more riders to be sure that they didn’t touch it; they didn’t touch it but it still released spontaneously, the trolley came apart and they fell to the ground. Fortunately, the distance to ground was only a couple feet and nobody was injured. The problem could probably be fixed by a pin that locks tight, but the manufacturer needs to get onto this before someone is seriously hurt or killed!
