The product, in the report: Self contained charcoal grill as previously described.
Used the “Grill-It-Kit” a 12” disposable grill (UPC#4797730157) product distributed through Kay Home Products, Antioch, IL 60002. Product was made in China. Contains charcoal rockettes. It is self contained within an aluminum pan. It is supposed to light with a single match. Once lit, the paper within the closed grate flared up to several (3) feet and burned for approximately 1 minute. This was to ignite the charcoal. Rather than heating charcoal it smoked and failed to properly heat for cooking.
Potential hazard if in a confined area. We had placed unit on grate of fire pit at [REDACTED] in a safe area. Should have a warning on the label that this could occur.
