The product, in the report: Two weeks ago, I charged the battery of the XPRIT Folding Electric Bike 20” Wheels with 240W Brushless Motor but, a few hours later, my boyfriend came home and found out that the battery exploded in our apartment. The police and the firemen had to force the door to come in and part of the living room has been damaged by this terrible accident. Please see attached the Police Report. Luckily, they arrived in time to rescue my place avoiding that the whole apartment would have caught fire. In addition, it happened when no one was home so we did not have physical problems caused by the fire that may have worsen the overall situation. But, we had to breath a very polluted air since the smoke and the soot went through the AC. I immediately called the Amazon Customer Service and they opened a report to study the case internally with you. Moreover, since they are just a third party, they highly recommended to point this out to your Customer Service Team in order to solve this matter. The fire caused damages in the apartment: the entry door has been forced; all the things close to the bike got burnt (window, curtain, wooden floor ecce). We are now paying all the expenses to fix and clean the unit as soot and dust are everywhere. Moreover, our lives are changed because we are still scared.
