The product, in the report: Smartbike YY26 electric mountain bike with 26” rims and four inch wide “fat” tires Model YY26
I purchased a Samebike YY26 electric mountain bike early in September. The bike had less than 50 miles on the odometer and I rode it up the mountain just north of my house. After about 1000 feet of altitude gain I turned around and headed back the same way I’d come up the hill. Was traveling about 15 to 20 mph and after descending less than 500’ vertically in about a mile horizontally, my brakes faded out. Squeezing as hard as I could I was able to stop the bike to let the brakes cool. Had I been going faster or had waited to apply the brakes to the max, I doubt if I would have been able to stop this bike on that hill. Given that this bike is advertised as a mountain bike, these brakes with small 160mm brake rotors and small brake pads are clearly inadequate.
