The product, in the report: 2019 Giant Trance E+ 3 Pro, Large, Black and Orange
I purchased a 2019 Giant Trance E+ 3 Pro (E-bike) from Buy My Bikes in San Juan Capistrano, CA. While I was riding my bike on a local street the engine suddenly fell off the mounts and the pedals seized while the bottom bracket area completely collapsed from the frame dropping the motor, battery, and myself. On closer inspections I noticed a huge break in the frame/motor mount area including an occlusion within the aluminum. It has not turned on since the incident; therefore, I am unsure of everything that was damaged but believe it includes the frame, motor, and possibly the battery. I had my bike serviced several times at [REDACTED] due to mistreatment at Buy My Bikes in San Juan Capistrano, CA. [REDACTED] has been nothing but professional and will confirm that nothing was loose on the bike the last time I serviced it. Giant Bikes has refused to honor the lifetime warranty on the frame and replace the damaged parts claiming I did not maintenance the bike even though I have maintenance records. I am currently pursuing this in small claims, as Giant Bikes DO NOT honor their lifetime warranty on their frames.
