The product, in the report: Faraday CORTLAND S electric bicycle
The brakes on my Faraday bike stopped working, causing my bike to crash.
I spoke to a licensed Faraday dealer and independent bike expert, both of whom told me that the brakes are an unsafe choice for the bike. I called Faraday about having my brakes replaced and placing a recall on the bike so no one else was injured. Faraday told me that they had no record of any other customer having brake trouble - a lie because their dealer told me he had reported it before, and their privately hosted facebook forum was full of similar complaints.
Eventually, Faraday offered me money to not talk about my experience, but I declined unless they would recall the brakes, as I don’t want my fellow riders to be in danger.
