We just purchased a Travis Industries Evergreen Lopi fireplace wood stove insert, and have problems with smoke/carbon monoxide coming into the house. We contacted the manufacturer and tech support responded, not once, but twice in writing the following: “ There are many different causes for a stove to blow smoke back into the house. (Short chimney, cold chimney, negative air pressure caused by vaulted ceilings, can lights, range hood, dryer, bathroom fans, or tight home design etc....) Basically they said putting it inside an occupied home could cause carbon monoxide to come into the house which is a huge safety issue, and they should not sell them if basically anything in the home can cause this.
