The product, in the report: Honeywell baseboard electric heater. Only id is 034-04074-000.R1 Model 034-04074-000 R1

I was using a base board heater under my desk and turned it off. The power light went off, but later i noticed the heater was still running, and was excessively hot near my carpet. I turned it on and off again using the buttons, but if i hadn’t completely unplugged it, the carpet likely would have caught fire.

The product, in the report: portable electrical baseboard heater

I am the Fire Marshal in [REDACTED]. About 10 years ago I purchased a portable electric baseboard heater. I was using it in my Office. Recently I noticed that after shutting it off while still plugged in, it was still hot even though the power button was pushed off and the power on light was off. Obviously, there is some type of a malfunction. I was lucky it did not start a fire in my Office. It has not started a fire or hurt someone. I unplugged it and it remains unused. I have a concern that many more of these type of units exist and may cause a fire or injury. It is a Honeywell unit. It has a stamped name of Kaz Inc. of Southborough Mass. on it. Its Model is HZ-519. Their telephone number is 1-800-332-1110 for any questions. Its P/N is 034-04074-000R1. Its A/W is 043-01215-000R1. I would like to send the unit out for an examination by an authorized organization so it can be evaluated. Is a recall necessary? I am requesting a response. I want to be as proactive as I can on this unit. `

The product, in the report: Honeywell Model HZ-514 Type ll Electric Baseboard Heater Plug Prong Date Stamp 0047

Electric baseboard heater was used occasionally ran it on low setting to supplement heating a few weeks during winter each year. A couple weeks ago a visiting relative increased the temperature and the outer left side melted where the rod attaches inside. The resulting smoke and fumes were nuisance and if not noticed could have caused fire. Unit was unplugged and not used since. I understand the Type I of this model was recalled but this is Type II.

The product, in the report: Honeywell Movable Baseboard Heater model HZ-519

I would like to report a fire that occurred last night from my Honeywell Movable Baseboard Heater model HZ-519. Flames were coming from this unit and were approximately 6-8” in height. The flames were coming from the control panel and were quickly extinguished when power was removed from the unit. This heater was probably purchased 10 years ago at a local Home Depot store so I am assuming the warranty expired several years ago. There was not any property damage due to the malfunction of this heater. The date code is 1734

Honeywell portable electric baseboard heater began burning a hole in its plastic end cap. The burn mark occurred on the end opposite the controls and resulted in a blackened, melted area about the size of a quarter and a hole burned all the way through about the size of a dime. Product had been turned on the ‘low’ setting for about 3 hours when issue was noticed.

The product, in the report: Honeywell baseboard heater began burning a hole (melting plastic on one end - brown burned spot). Fortunately I was in attendance or it may have caused a fire. This is a TYPE II which is NOT recalled to my knowledge.

Honeywell Baseboard heater TYPE II began burning a hole in the left side of the cabinet after over ten years of use. I notice only TYPE I was recalled - they both should be recalled.
