The product, in the report: gas furnace

Style Crest knowingly sold me a Revolve furnace manufactured date 3-23-2012 with a defective burner box and IFC. They did not put out a recall. They caused a huge delay in the services and have portrayed a great deal of resistance towards obtaining resolutions. Purchase Date: 9/26/2014 Problem Date: 2/19/2015 Model Number: VMA1-50N Serial Number: DN221730 Order Number: [REDACTED] Payment Amount: $2,844.00 Payment Method: Check Style Crest Knowingly sold me a furnace with a defective burner box and Integrated Furnace Controller (IFC). They deliberately deviated from their duty bound responsibility to inform the general public and Capital Supply and Services of the engineering change of the defective burner box. Style Crest has burdened the consumers with their mistakes only to save their company money by not putting out a recall for correction. They knew the retainer holes for the flame rectification rod and the igniter was reversed which caused my furnace to exhibit explosive ignitions, numerous ignition failures and damages to other components of my furnace. It was myself and a technician from Capital Supply and Services that figured out the engineering problem that Style Crest and their affiliates had prior knowledge of. With that said, Style Crest sent a new top section of the burner box with engineering changes to it with high hopes that I and the technician would not catch. I myself having a Associates degree in Applied Science in HVAC informed the technician that the defective burner box was stamped out incorrectly and Style Crest and their engineers knew of the their mistake. Later on they made engineering changes to the defective burner box. Nonetheless, they did not share this with the general public for the purpose of saving their company money by not doing a recall. It is my educated opinion that Style Crest and their affiliates demonstrated reckless business conduct. I’m not ruling out the likelihood that property damage, personal injuries, or death may result due to the defective burner box that was in my furnace and most likely are in other furnaces purchased by other consumers. I have pictures, videos and invoices that reflect the above mentioned. There have been two new Integrated Furnace Controllers (IFC’s) replaced by installers on my furnace since the original installation (9/26/2014). Therefore, that makes three IFC’s on my furnace that display the faulty five flash code with no resolution. On rare occasions, my furnace still demonstrates a faulty five flash code that does not exists in the owners manual. The faulty five flash code does not allow my furnace to cycle properly. One of my many concerns is that there is rust in the burner box. I have made the installers (Capitol Supply) and the manufacturers (Style Crest) aware of my concerns about the rust in the burner box also with no resolution.

I have also reported this to the BBB and made available for the public review.
