The product, in the report: Cozy double sided gas wall furnace. Described CCY 50000 BTU Nat Gravity Furn 66 Serial number 20060914

On October 30, 2020 I bought a Cozy double sided gas wall heater at Ferguson Enterprises in El Paso, Tx. It was installed by a licensed technician. A few days later the heater started to smell like gas escaping and heater would explode before it would turn on. Flames would actually come out from the furnace. The technician was called back to check on it and he explained that it might be the gas valve that was too open and he would leave and it would work for a few days and the furnace would go back to exploding and smelling like gas escaping. Finally after several trips to try to fix it the technician said that the furnace was defective. I called the distributor who then referred me to call Cozy Manufacturers. The customer service wanted the technician to go fix the furnace with their help and they gave us a number to call. The technician finally fixed it.. Cozy’’s customer service already knew what the problem was. Obviously they have had problem with this type of furnace before. They actually admitted to it. One of the gas lines in the furnace was defective. Cozy refused to pay for the technician who had fixed their defective furnace. They said they only guarantee parts and no labor. This is absolutely a defective and dangerous product out in the market and a manufacturer who refuses to stand behind their product.
