Model: A5941 Demensions: 5 1/8 in X 4 3/8 in X 2 in Weight: 9.7 oz Voltage Rating: AC 110-240 V/ DC 5 V Power: 6 W Ambient Noise 26 dB SPL to 34 dB SPL Recommended Room Size: Medium Ozone Concentration: 0.4 - 0.8 ppm Made in China
I purchased the EdenPure Oxileaf II Plug-In Air Purifier August 1 2019. I gave it to my sister, for her basement, a few weeks later. Sunday (9/22/2019) she smelled smoke, went down stairs and saw fire coming out both sides of the Air Purifier. The fire was not from the electrical outlet. Fire was inside the unit. She said the unit was not hot to touch, and she was able to carry it outside with the fire coming out of the unit.

I called EdenPure(9/24/2019), and was concerned they were not going to report this product issue, only replace the unit. They said I had to pay to send it back to them, because it was beyond the 30 day return policy, and under the 1 year warranty. I asked are they going to investigate this hazard and tell me the results. I did not feel comfortable that this would be done. I asked if they were going to report this to the Consumer Product Safey Commission, because if they were not I was going to. She put me on hold , then said she would send me a prepaid label to return the unit..I had to provide the box.
I feel this product needs a thorough review to ensure it is not a fire hazard… The unit states it shuts down every hour for a few minutes to prevent over heating. It states on the box 100% safe & Pet Friendly.
