The product, in the report: It is from the company Sky Enterprise USA, Serial number 15010090, model number SKY1057. It is called BC Air Purifier, brown wood with 2 slots on the back for the metal and white cardboard type filters. Has 2 knobs on the front for O3 control and Ionization Fan Speed.
About 6 months after my dad bought this product [air purifier], he passed away suddenly and very unexpected. Since the day he died I have beat myself up on what truly happened considering my kids and I were just there for the weekend and he passed that Monday at about noon. Everything was left up to me to deal with paperwork wise, his stuff, the house, etc. then about 2 months ago I came across this air purifier again. I had read the instructions when it first happened and it sounded dangerous and scared me so I just put it in storage. Well I started researching it for the last month and I believe it could have had something to do with his death. He had COPD, a stroke history and diabetes for sure. He wasn’t always truthful with me about his health trying not to make me worry. Anyways, y’all ruled it to be COPD and complications from diabetes mellitus.I remember after he bought that and we would go over there, the smell in the house was completely changed. He ran it nonstop and he went downhill cognitively very fast afterward but I thought it was just a regular air purifier. I always wondered why I felt weird over there like lightheaded and confused until I left. Well it was a bit more than that. It is one that releases ozone in the air. I still don’t know too much about it because I just recently learned of these kinds of products. I ran it here and it made my mom’s house smell the same way. I only tried it 1 day and decided it was a dangerous product especially for my mom (67) and my 3 young children putting ozone in the air and shocking you if the back gets touched. I decided to call the company who made it and 2 different people couldn’t give me any information on it and claimed they could not find it in the system so they would have a supervisor contact me but that never happened. I also read a warning on the back saying it was not for people with respiratory problems but the warning is written so small I didn’t even see it until I looked the product all over.
