The product, in the report: Purchased from PC Home Center a 50 pt elect dehumidifier model no PA50, serial no C101264230411211400473

Purchased a 50pt elect dehumidifier on 05/03/11 from PC Home Center in New Albany, Indiana. I used last summer and okay, and when I turned on to use on 03/15/12 it got to hot to touch on the back of the unit, and fumes and a burning smell was emiting from the unit. I turned it off immediately and checked the unit over but found nothing dirty (filter, drain pan, etc). I turned back on again, and after the motor ran for approx. 30 minutes the back of the unit got so hot you could not touch, and once again started emiting fumes and a burnt smell. The unit is unplugged and I’m trying to contact the Vendor but to no avail. The Model no is: PA50, the Serial no is: C101264230411211400473. The unit is from Midea America Corp. (Perfect Aire).
