The product, in the report: Dehumidifier - Fedders 45 Pint Model # A7DH45B2A Serial # BS 863317

I went to check on this dehumidifier which was running in our basement. I noticed that the dehumidifier was not collecting any water, so I was going to put it away for the winter. When I unplugged the dehumidifier I noticed the carpet under the dehumidifier was discolored and that it was hot. I turned the dehumidifier over and noticed that the plastic on the bottom the the dehumidifier was brown and melted.

I searched for recalls on the unit and several dehumidifiers by the same manufacturer are being recalled, but this model is not part of the recall.
