Color White Brand TaoTronics Power Source AC/DC Item Weight 4.5 Pounds Item Dimensions LxWxH 11.77 x 10.71 x 8.66 inches QUIET HUMIDIFIER FOR BEDROOM: Low noise operation, LED display turns off in sleep mode and waterless shut off function create a relaxing atmosphere for sleep without disturbance.

    I purchased a TaoTronics Humidifiers for Bedroom (6L), Warm and Cool Mist Humidifier on December 30, 2020 and received it soon thereafter. It worked for about 2 weeks and then it would not function correctly. I filled the humidifier prior to going to bed. By the next morning the humidifier was empty. The next evening I again filled up the water. The lights were unlit and the machine looked like it was off. When I tried to turn on the humifier the panel started to flash different numbers and letters. I tried to push the button to go off but it would not react to my touch. I immediately unplugged the humidifier and plugged it back in. It began to flash the numbers and letters again. I thought the filter might be dirty (although it was only used for about 2 weeks) so I again unplugged the machine. When I checked the filter (which was clean) I touched the filter. It was much too hot to remove. It burnt my fingers. The TaoIronics Humidifier is advertised to automatically turn off when all the water has been evaporated. I went to change the filter within seconds of turning on the humidifier. It would have been off for at least 10 hours. Therefore it should not have been hot.

    I have never reported a product before, but in this instance, if I had not tried to check the product’s filter, I am afraid serious damage may have occurred. Recipient: Information Center

    The humidity sensors in two different TaoTronics humidifiers failed leading to dangerous levels of humidity in the bedroom posing both a health and fire hazard. This humidifier model has an AUTO function that is supposed to stop producing steam when 65% humidity is reached. In both the original purchase and the replacement unit this sensor failed and continued to fill my room with steam for the entire night leading to water dripping from the wall and power outlets (fire hazard!) and 99% humidity as confirmed with a second sensor exposing my family to dangerous levels of humidity for the human body. Continued exposure to humidity can cause body heat regulation problems. As a result I feel fatigue and chest pain today.
