  1. No one hurt

The product, in the report: Safety 1st Ultrasonic 360 Degree Humidifier - Blue - Gently soothes baby with moisture rich air - Quiet Operation - Variable mist control - Two 360° mist outlets - Easy-fill tank for 12 hours of nursery coverage - Auto shut-off - Filterless Design

At 11:30am, I went into my son’s room and smelled a plastic/hot smell. I went around the room and unplugged the lamp, nightlight, sound machine, and humidifier but nothing felt hot at the plug. When I picked up the humidifier by the base, it was very hot! The reservoir had been knocked off just a few minutes (maybe 15 or 20) earlier when I was putting laundry in the closet. When I looked closer at the base, I could see melted plastic. The humidifier was empty and is listed as having auto shutoff. It had not been empty more than 12 hours. I feel very fortunate to have found this before putting my son down for his nap.
