Seen by a doctor or nurse Made Feb 19, 2017, sent to the company Jun 12, 2017, published by CPSC Apr 26, 2017
The product, in the report: I had 2 different brands of ultrasonic humidifiers . the large one downstairs and a small one in my bedroom - Pure Guardian 120-Hour 2-Gallon Ultrasonic Warm and Cool Mist Humidifier
I have a pollution sensor in my house and the ultrasonic humidifier was making my air pollution levels above the red unhealthy zone. I have since removed them and my air is back to normal but I have been fighting respiratory problems that the humidifiers have contributed to I am sure. Since I have stopped using them my health is slowly improving. I used purified water and cleaned them every 2 or 3 days. there needs to be a warning on these for people who have respiratory issues . Thank you

No one hurt Made Mar 7, 2012, sent to the company Mar 15, 2012, published by CPSC Mar 29, 2012
The product, in the report: Pure Guardian humidifier model H4500 Mfg. code 1147A Plant Code E Guardian Technologies LLC 1-866-603-5900 Made in Korea
The Pure Guardian humidifier, purchased from Costco in Austin on 1/29/12, has two choices to turn it on. One is “Warm Mist” and one is “cool”. We used the humidifier successfully for two nights when it was set to warm mist. On the third night, we turned it on to the “cool” setting. Sometime in the first minute, the unit started to smoke and there was an acrid burning plastic smell that dispersed down the hall and into the next room. My husband had left the room with the humidifier, but when he smelled the burning plastic, he pulled the plug from the wall. There were no flames. It is Pure Guardian Model H4500.
