The product, in the report: off brand model 80 steam humidifier canister from Amazon

i purchased a replacement steam cartridge for my [REDACTED] Steam Humidifier form Amazon. The product I later found is made in China and does not meet the specifications of the original part from [REDACTED]. The unit has 240 volts going to it and fills with water. It could not handle the heat and melted causing water to fill the unit and all over my basement floor. This could have burnt my house down. I since have looked at reviews and it has happened to quite a few others. I contacted Amazon sent them pictures and they could care less making it very difficult to recover my costs and are still selling these dangerous products.
