The product, in the report: NatureSpirit Ultrasonic Humidifier with Unique Self Rotating Spay Head
My daughter discovered a burning smell when she entered her room this evening. Upon a search of her room, I discovered the smell was coming from her humidifier. The humidifier was on and had run out of water. I unplugged the unit and had her fill the water tank. When we put the water tank back on the unit, water began pouring out the bottom onto the floor. Once we cleaned up the water, I inspected the unit more and discovered the there was brown (burnt) melted plastic on the rear base of the unit. This unit is advertised as having an automatic safety shutoff feature when it runs out of water.
