The product, in the report: Holmes Humidifier
Had a Holmes Humidifier in bedroom on floor. Humidifier started on fire in motor area and burned through the plastic casing. The unit tipped over and burned through a rug and carpeting. It was carried into bathroom and dumped in a sink where it burned and damaged the sink. Our house had smoke throughout and if it was not seen immediately, we could have lost our house. We have pictures of the damage and the humidifier. Sent emails to company via their website and received no response back. Wife had burns on foot due to stepping on burning metal pieces that had melted off the unit.
