The product, in the report: Ge range JB650EFES

I have a 2 yr old ge range that is in a second home in [REDACTED] and rarely used. On Christmas Eve I prepared a turkey breast, cooked bacon, then set my oven to self clean. After approximately 40 minutes a electric wire burning smell along with smoke permeated our home. I checked on the oven and upon walking in the middle class of the door exploded in pro a thousand pcs. I turned off the function, the breaker and brought in a fire extinguisher as I had no idea what to expect. After 30 min I was able to unlock the door and upon opening all of the glass slid out from the door like a glass slot machine. I contacted ge and they will not replace the oven because it is out if warrantee. There has to be something wrong as I rarely use the oven and this was the first time I used the self clean function. Now I’m expected to pay for what is an obvious mfg defect.
