How badly anyone was hurt

  • No one hurt 2 CPSC: Incident, No Injury

As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

Made Dec 20, 2016, sent to the company Dec 30, 2016, published by CPSC Jan 17, 2017

The product, in the report: Range/stove/oven

I was baking Christmas cookies last night and as I went to open my oven door, the glass layer on the outside of the door just exploded everywhere...all over my kitchen floor! I sat there in disbelief. I couldn’t believe what just happened. The oven was only on 350, and I didn’t even have it on for that long.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Stainless Steel Stove Model No. FGGF3032MFH

I was baking a cake at 350 degrees when the glass on my stove exploded. The racks were in place; the stove had not been jarred or closed harshly in any way. The stove has been in use for under one year as I purchased the home only 9 months ago. The installation, however, has been over a year and I’m afraid the manufacturer will not honor the warranty and this may be a costly repair. Please, any assistance that can be offered will be greatly appreciated.
