No one hurt Made Sep 18, 2022, sent to the company Sep 22, 2022, published by CPSC Oct 6, 2022
The product, in the report: Black and stainless steel “professional series” Electrolux oven
Electrolux Oven glass exploded into my kitchen. It was only set to 350 and I heard the glass “pop” and scatter when I stepped out to my garage (and thank God, I did). Glass was all over my kitchen. Thankfully my cat, that likes to sit by her bowl in there, was not present nor myself or my father who was there with me yesterday. I don’t even know what I would have done if this had happened when my wife was home and had exploded with her standing in the room cause it certainly came without warning and was extremely dangerous.
(9/22/2022) Report Update: The glass oven door literally exploded into my kitchen? While we were not in the kitchen the moment it happened, I would say that is a huge risk to most consumers that cook near their oven. I only ended up with a small glass shard in my foot after cleaning it all up but certainly this is a something that could be life threatened to most users and their families.

The product, in the report: Electrolux Icon 30” dual power range Model #E30DF74GPS Model E30DF74GPS model name: Icon
The internal oven rack supports on my Electrolux Icon dual fuel range Model # E30DF74GPS cannot be securely reinstalled after cleaning. This caused the oven support racks to pitch forward and all oven racks to extend at the same time. The extremely hot food to slid off the oven racks and the system to disengage from the sides of the oven. This happened to me over Thanksgiving and presented a very dangerous situation. Luckily my husband was also in the kitchen and able to assist me so that I received a relatively minor burn and the hot food didn’t burn anyone. I have called Electrolux and they are unconcerned about the issue.
On line research turned up a [REDACTED] video that clearly shows the issue I’m having. The video name is “[REDACTED]” and was posted by a person named [REDACTED].

The product, in the report: Knobs on range
This caller is reporting her range knobs She lives in a Condo development with two buildings built in 1805 and 1910 these two building were connected around 2007. She and her husband moved in around 2007 and the appliances were already in the condo. She noticed very, very early that the knobs on her range are turned extremely easily, however she realized May 28th, 2018 that the range turned itself on and the fire department advised her that this fire reached 1000 degrees. This is after switches were replaced a year ago. She did contact the manufacturer who advised her that they will send her new switches and moisture barriers because there may be an electrical short. She is waiting for the delivery of these items so that hopefully she will be the repair she has been waiting for.

When using the self-cleaning feature on our Electrolux Double Oven, the inner glass paneled shattered about 30 minutes into the cleaning cycle. The temperature was reading 900 degrees. The glass shattered in long shards, some slipped out onto the floor, but most fell into the bottom of the oven.
This is a new oven installed when we built our home in 2015 and the first time we had used the self-cleaning feature.

No one hurt Made Feb 9, 2015, sent to the company Feb 23, 2015, published by CPSC Mar 10, 2015
The product, in the report: Upper oven of a double oven wall set. Black on outside/blue on inside.
We built a brand new house and moved in February 2009. Our kitchen appliances were brand new Electrolux. We have had to call the service person to fix it for various problems at least 4 times, costing us over $1000 to repair. (First breakdown was 2 days after warranty expired). It has never worked well. On Jan. 31, 2014 it exploded. First there was a very LOUD electrical ‘ZZZzzzt!’, then a huge flash of white light like lightening and then it burst into flames. My husband was broiling the top of mac and cheese. If I had been standing there watching it like I usually do (he was standing there with his back turned momentarily), it would have caught my face on fire or blinded me. It was like an arch weld. The element blew up. We both love to cook and bake and have done it for decades. Neither of us has ever experienced anything like this in an electric or gas appliance. It was horrifying. Our house filled with smoke immediately. I called Electrolux and was given a recorded message to email the liability claims department which I did, and got no response. We had it repaired and now a year later, it does it AGAIN! This weekend (Feb 7, 2015) I was baking cookies. The first batch came out fine. I had put in the second batch and was preparing the next cookie sheet when I heard the oven fan go on and I a loud noise. I turned and the lights were all flashing on the control panel, the cookies were BLACK (had only been in the oven 3 minutes) and it did the same flash as before. I turned off the oven and the house filled with smoke. This oven should be taken off the market. It is dangerous. It is a built-in wall oven (double) and model #: EW30 EW65GB3 and serial # NF 81716917 (I think...it is black from the smoke). I have photos of the original element that blew up and melted and photos of my raw on bottom and black on top cookies from the other day.

Seen by a doctor or nurse Made Nov 19, 2013, sent to the company Nov 26, 2013, published by CPSC Dec 11, 2013
The product, in the report: Frigidaire Gallery LGGF305MKFH
I recently moved into a house with a Frigidaire Gallery LGGF305MKFH installed in the kitchen. During my first use of the warming drawer I experienced burns on my fingers (according to my doctor somewhere between first and second degree).
I was using the back left burner on the stove. I turned the burner off and moved the pot off the burner. I then turned the knob to turn on the warming drawer. It is at this point that I burnt my fingers. It seems that having the back left burner on had heated the metal knob to a temperature where first/second degree burns are possible.
I consider this to be a serious and dangerous design flaw in your product. This puts anyone in my house using my the appliance at risk and would make me liable should injury occur.

On November 11, 2011 I purchased an Electrolux Range . I immediately began having repair issues . My main concern is each time I wipe down the range I must be very careful or the top lip cuts severely. Also the whole top is rusting badly. I wrote to the company and they said this is cosmetic and there is nothing they can do.

No one hurt Made Jul 27, 2012, sent to the company Aug 23, 2012, published by CPSC Sep 7, 2012
The product, in the report: Electrolux EL Free Stand R
We have had several safety concerns with our Electrolux stove. I have asked Electrolux to state in their documentation that I am concerned about fires, etc. Every time I ask the next rep to tell them what I have reported they have left out this information and continue to downplay any safety issues or document them. We purchased a new appliance in 2010 from them that has been very poor and I think present safety issues. The problems range from simple items like burned out LEDs to what I consider more serious like the appliance turning on, including burners, by themselves. The appliance has had seven attempts to be repaired and continues to give us electrical problems. During the last incident in July I was cleaning using self-cleaning and it appears to have burned out many boards ( i have only used this twice and the first time was okay). The repairman stated this is common for electrolux and showed me the charred wires and boards where it looked like fire had started. The unit is still unrepaired and the warranty service (we purchased the extended since there were so many issues) is attempting to fix the charred cables and not replacing them. I have told Electrolux I find this dangerous and I feel if it is repaired again I will need to turn this device off at the fusebox to keep it from catching the house on fire with my 92 year-old mother inside. They have confirmed they have no intention of replacing the unit and if I want to be on the safe side I need to clean the oven by hand not use this feature as some of their other customers are doing. I am also going to report this to our local news and to the attorney general. I find this a very unsafe appliance and I would not donate it due to fearing it could injure someone. Electrolux has yet to confirm that is or is not a safety concern to them. The appliance remains unusable at this time (has been down for several weeks. Even if they gets parts to get it running again I still feel our safety is at risk due to burned cables and all of the electrical problems we continue to experience.

No one hurt Made Feb 14, 2012, sent to the company Jun 24, 2013, published by CPSC Jul 9, 2013
The product, in the report: countertop cook range
While using the large right front burner on 7 for a minute then lowering the burner to 3 the consumer noticed that the temperature got higher. He attempted to switch the burner in the off position but it would not power off. The consumer had to switch the knob from on to off simultaneously to power the burner in the off position.
On 2/12/2012 while using another burner (exact burner unknown) the consumer noticed that the burner powered in the on position without being switched. Turned knob counter clockwise and clockwise several times stopping at OFF each time. Finally powered off. Now in the off position everything is manual. Returned frying pan on the burner. Knob is still in off position. Burner returned to this intense heat. This condition is not a normal Hi heat, a red glow on and off glow but a cherry fire red.
The element was red indicating the temperature of the burner was extremely hot. After switching the knob from on to off simultaneously the burner powered in the off position.
The consumer removed the knob and grommet that controls the right front burner to check for moisture. There was no moisture so he placed [REDACTED] around the grommet and placed the knob back on the control panel.
The firm was contacted the week of 2/6/2012 and the consumer was advised there was no recall involving his model number.
The consumer has not made any final decision on repairs on the appliance. The consumer still uses the range but has discontinued using the right front burner.
