The product, in the report: 48 inch capital to fuel a burner LP oven range
We purchased a very large kitchen appliance package for a new home we also purchased additional warranty is up to 10 years for these items. We have a 48 Capital range dual of an eight burner model CSB488LP gas. Made a prime rib roast in the oven last night. As this oven has only been used since December 21 of this year, I decided to clean the oven with the feature that I paid extra for . The self-cleaning feature is for three hours but I only let it go for one hour. Shut it off and my husband and I heard a loud bang he did not know what it was. Once the oven head cold and the door unlocked we open the oven to find that the glass had shattered inside the oven . Contacted the place we purchased the appliance from they said you’re not covered under the tenure warranty for that. I contacted capital and they basically said too bad. But you can write an email and send photos to see a new door would cost $1000. This is ridiculous and completely Unsafe and dangerous. When looking online we noticed that it’s happened a lot we should not be responsible for spending another thousand dollars on top of almost $9000 for the oven and another $500 for the warranties that are useless.
