Emergency room Made May 21, 2026, sent to the company May 27, 2026, published by CPSC Jun 10, 2026
The product, in the report: Amana oven range, black, gas, size 30 inches.
In 2022, I purchased an Amana Range (with oven). In 2026 , as I was opening the oven door, the glass exploded into thousands of pieces, injuring my daughter. The Amana people (company agents) told me the policy is if I did not buy an extended warranty, they would exchange the unit and I would pay a percentage of the cost. Does this sound like a normal procedure for a dangerous unit? I was baking a pie at 350 degrees. I am an adult past the age of 60.
