The product, in the report: Wolf E Series Speed oven
Wolf Speed oven glass burst off front of speed oven. 1.5 years old and typically only use microwave feature. This was the first time we used oven around 7:30 PM to cook biscuits. We cleaned kitchen and were getting kids to bed and around 8:45 pm the glass burst off unit. Had anyone been standing there, there would have been serious injuries….especially a small child.
UPDATED ON 1/5/2024: [There is nearly an exact same case reported that was approved. I personally wasn’t harmed because I wasn’t in front of the oven at the time, but had it been 10 minutes earlier that is where I was standing. I would have had glass shrapnel from my head down - not to mention what could have happened to my eyes or if my small children had been there. Our family is still getting tiny pieces of glass in our feet from the pieces the vacuum didn’t pick up. ]

The product, in the report: 48” electric range with gas stove top
The consumer says he has had the stove for 8 years. He says right underneath the burner, it is sealed with 0-Rings which overheat and/or dry out. this causes gas to leak out of this area. This has happened ever since he owned th stove. The company’s newer models do not have this problem as they have changed the design.
The consumer contacted the manufacturer who send out a technician for repair. He says this only resolves the issue for the next 4-6 monthsand then the problem starts back up again. He has seen a report on saferproducts.gov detailing his exact same problem. The technician also mentioned that it is a design flaw and that they no longer make this product.
