We bought a home tandoor from Puri Tandoor based out of 2200 Secaucus Rd, North Bergen, NJ 07047. It is a $800 home tandoor gas oven. We are reporting at this product is very unsafe and is a potential fire hazard. The gas control on the product is very poor and is very difficult to control. The gas sometimes comes on and off randomly, and it can sometimes come on too strong such it is a fire risk in any home. We had it installed by a local gas expert and he suggested to us after looking at it and what we said about the risks that we should not operate this in our house as it is a great fire risk. This company is not responsive at all and does not listen to our concerns about the product. We feel it is our obligation to inform people as this product could cause damage in someone else’s house. Since their products are made in India, we don’t know if the ovens are meeting any sort of standards for safety. The knob is not properly, fixed. It can come off loose very easily and then it is difficult to shut the gas off in time. When we used it just once, we had a hard time turning it on, when it was turned on it was way too powerful and the knob came off and we had to place it back in before we could close it.
