Hurt, care not known Made Sep 7, 2012, sent to the company Oct 17, 2012, published by CPSC Oct 31, 2012
The product, in the report: Induction Cook surface
The caller stated that the induction stove advertised stated that that it was safe for a child to cook with their mother because there was no burn hazard. However, when she was using it the unit became so hot she burned her hand. She also noticed that there was contradiction between advertising and the label which stated it is a burn hazard.
8/2012 The caller contacted the company and was told that she could return the unit for a refund. She was not informed if they had received any other reports. They advised her that they stand behind the advertisement of the product and that although they printed on the unit they didnot have to advertise it.
The caller feels that this is a misconception and that this product is unsafe and should be properly advertised.
