The product, in the report: Pizza Oven
I purchased the Gozney Pizza Oven, ROCCBOX (www.gozney.com) from Williams Sonoma March 8th. I used it for the “FIRST TIME” yesterday, May 14th, with great and not-so-great results. My first pizza came out great. After letting the oven cool down, I attached the manufacturer’s Carrying Strap, lifted the unit off the table top, and the handle gave way; one side of the handle tore away from the main strap. The unit weighs approximately 20 kg. The main strap is designed to be wrapped around the oven & held in place with Velcro. The handle is sewn to the strap. As a result of the handle failure, the oven fell. Thankfully, neither I or anyone else was hurt!! But, the Ceramic baking surface within the oven is broken into 3 pieces and who knows what other damage the unit may have sustained. I have taken photos of the incident so that you may see the results from the strap failure, if they are desired. There is obviously insufficient stitching securing the handle to the main strap, it is no wonder it failed during it’s first usage!!
