The product, in the report: GE Profile 30” Freestanding Dual Fuel range; stainless steel and black color

The consumer moved into his home in 2007 and the unit was already in the home.

On 12/10/14 the circuit breaker went off and the consumer reset it. The consumer contacted Harvesd Electric (an electric company) to inspect the wiring in his home. The electrician arrived to the consumer home and inspected the wiring. The electrician concluded that the problem was the range. The electrician and the consumer inspected the unit and noticed burned wiring on the back of the unit. The consumer did not see any smoke or fire. The electrician advised the consumer there was a electrical failure with the unit and to stop using the unit.

On 12/11/14 the consumer called the firm’s recall hotline (888) 352-9764 (release # 09-189) and was advised that his unit is not affected by the recall. The consumer plans to contact the firm’s customer service number 1 (888) 348-7563.

The consumer has not had any prior incidents and states the unit has not been repaired.

The consumer uses the unit daily.
