The glass on the front of the oven exploded and I mean exploded everywhere. Glass was not damaged. Oven has been used before and no reason for this to happen contacted Frigidaire and they said we had to pay for new glass absolute bullshit company.

Frigidaire Induction Range burners turn on by themselves. All 4 burners turn on and get extremely hot, then the range beeps and the burners turned off, only to turn back on after a minute or so. This happened repeatedly and fill the house with a smell of burning plastic. I turned off the breaker for 15 minutes and within an hour it happened again, so we are leaving the breaker off and trying to work with the warranty service (through Home Depot) to have the unit replaced, but so far they have not been helpful. A technician came out to diagnose the range and did not find any issues and said that the Frigidaire service line spokesperson said he had never heard of this happening before, which seems hard to believe as you can find a lot of posts online about the same thing happening to others. I am continuing to try to work with the warranty service to get this replaced or some sort of compensation for a different range.

Frigidaire Double Oven (Mdl-FGET3066UFB/SN-AF12300184) Door (Lower) Shattered sometime after we went to bed last night. My wife discovered the floor covered in tinted glass at about 6 am this morning when she got up to make coffee. The oven had not been use yesterday, racks were properly positioned and the door was not slammed. We purchased this unit on August 17 2021 along with a glass top stove and a microwave. All three units are their “Galley Series”.

I just purchased a new Frigidaire 36” range and one of the pullout racks in the oven can too easily pulled right out when trying to remove a tray of food. Every other oven I’ve owned required that the rack be tilted up around 30 degrees or so to remove it and they all ways had an extra safety catch to keep it in place. This rack had nothing more than a slight bump to keep it from coming right out when pulling it out to remove hot food.

While using a Fridigeair Gallery wall oven. The lamp cover burst. Upon inspection of the other lamp cover has a deep crack in the lamp cover on the other side. While messaging back and forth to the manufacturer about the safety issue. They immediately sent me information on how to check the lens covers and clean up glass. This was pre-prepared literature, if this would have burst into our food unknowingly we could have swallowed and consumed glass.

(1/2023) The oven started malfunctioning shortly after it was purchased. The problems are identical to the ones in Recall# 24-235.
The consumer purchased the extended warranty for the appliance, and it has been serviced 5 times since she’s owned it. The service technicians have replaced the control board approximately 3 – 4 times. After the control boards have been replaced, the oven/range operates properly for a few days, then the problem returns.
6/19/2024: The consumer was using the oven when the temperature jumped to 880 degrees. The consumer tried to turn it off at the control, but it did not work. When these problems occur, she must unplug the appliance from the wall outlet.
On numerous occasions, her oven has turned on spontaneously. She has also turned the oven off and returned to find it still in the on position.
6/20/2024: The consumer will contact the manufacturer again today. She keeps it unplugged when it’s not in use.

My double ovens turn on and off by themselves, they keep displaying the oven door is open when both of them are closed, the lights turn on and off inside by themselves.This has been going on for months, when Im using them and even when Im not. They constantly beep with an error 50 message. I contacted Electrolux on more than one occasion, yet they dont seem to feel its a problem. All anyone has to do is go on the Frigidaire [REDACTED] page and see all of the multiple continuous consumer complaints. No injuries have happened as of yet, however judging from the multiple other consumers complaining about the same issue (with the same exact ovens) I would imagine its just a matter of time.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Professional line 36” dual fuel range.
Ordered and installed 36” Frigidaire Professional model dual fuel range (model#PCFD3670AF). It was sent with natural gas ready arrangement and had a propane conversion kit included. A professional technician installed the kit and the end result is the unit does not burn the gas appropriately or safely. The flame pattern can not be adjusted enough to create a proper burn. Very high amounts of carbon monoxide and residual off gas are present. A second unit was orderded (suspected a one off product issue) and a request for refund was initiated. The scecond unit was purchased through a local dealer as opposed to directly from the manufacturer as Frigidaire had released the contract with it’s regional shipper. The second unit was also installed and converted by a licensed Frigidaire tech. and the same problem existed. The dealer who supplied the second unit also sent a repair tech that attempted to adjust or repair the gas cooktop section and again the the result was improper flame pattern and high amounts of off gas and CO emissions to the point myself and the tech. were experiencing symptoms of CO exposure (with the vent on). It seems the design is bad and definitely unsafe for propane use. I am unsure of what the performance would be or is with natural gas. I believe a recall investigation for safety is warranted.

The oven racks in my wall oven keep falling and will not stay in the oven. It appears as if the walls have expanded. We have tried several new racks to no avail. Multiple times, the racks have fallen with food being cooked on them. This is not only a danger to me, but also our young daughter. The model is frigidaire oven rack fpmc3085kfa. The consumer cut her right ring finger, while she was wiping the side of her oven. The edge of the door is extremely sharp and caused the laceration. She bled extensively and tried to treat her wound at home.
Due to the pain and the fact that her hand was still bleeding the next day, the consumer went to Urgent Care. The medical staff mixed a solution of liquids and the consumer kept her hand in that liquid for approximately 15 minutes. The consumer was given a prescription for antibiotics. A bandage was applied to the wound and she was told to follow up with them, if needed.
The consumer called the mfr. and they responded to her by email. A manufacturer’s technicians was supposed to come to her home today (10/23/2020), but had not shown up at the time this report was filed with CPSC.
The consumer has children in her home and is concerned that they could be injured or that other owners of these ovens, could be at risk.

I own a 24” Frigidaire wall oven. During routine use of oven, fluids juices (small amounts -not a deluge) that fall of the top lip of the oven can drip right into the top control panel. This happened to me while I was cooking yesterday and I heard several large electrical zaps as the unit shorted. I disassembled the unit and found the whole panel burned out, but worse, there are open/exposed 220V electrical contacts on the back!!! No seal, No back cover on the control panel-exposed metal contacts. This is a highly unsafe design with obvious electrocution and fire risks

The product, in the report: It is a standard sized induction oven (30 inches by 3 feet). Frigidaire white oven, with dials for turning on the cook top and two oven racks. It also has a cubby at the bottom for keeping things.
Frigidaire oven glass (facing the user) shattered into tiny pieces across the kitchen area preceded by a sound like a gunshot. It was not tuned on, or even in use. Glass pieces got everywhere and a member of the family who was nearby became extremely scared and could not even step into the kitchen because of the glass everywhere.

In July of 2015 I purchased a Frigidaire 30 in double oven from Lowe’s. The oven was received and installed properly. After 2 years of use, the interior walls of the oven were not built properly causing them to expand with more exposure to heat. This led to the racks in the oven falling. It is a faulty product that should have been recalled. The company told me that my 1 year warranty has expired. I explained that this is a faulty product that was not built properly they continued to tell me that they are not responsible and that my manufacturer warranty is out of date. After the company told me that they would not do anything due to my product being out of manufacturer’s warranty I contacted Lowe’s because I purchased an extended warranty through them. They sent Jeff’s Appliances out of Shelton to assess the problem. They said that they product could not be fixed. They called the service department of Frigidaire directly who told them that they know of the problem and it can not be fixed. They did not ever issue a recall. They stated that the problem was not fixed until the next model was built In 2016/2017. Lowes stated that they would refund me the cost of the oven. The problem then lies that all of the ovens that were in that price range did not fit in the cut out of my cabinets. The only oven that would fit was significantly more expensive. Lowes did discount the oven but I still had to pay the difference Including Installation and a new extended warranty. I also had to cut my newly refinished cabinets. Lowes corporate refunded the cost of the Installation. I am still infurated that an oven is still being manufactured that is completely faulty and almost caused my mother to be severly burned on Thanksgiving when the rack fell with our turkey on it causing a huge mess and a potential injury. I am also extremely frustrated that I had to pay the difference in the cost of the ovens when I shouldn’t have had to replace a 2 year oven in the first place if the manufacturer took responsibility

My oven grates no longer fit in my oven and fall through causing hot food to spill and cause burns. I have contacted Frigidaire many times without a resolution. I have ordered new grates per my model & serial number yet they do not fit either. The oven was purchased 8/2014 for my new construction and we moved in Feb 2015. The oven otherwise works perfectly fine except you can not put items on the grates without being at risk. I have contacted Frigidaire as well as the reputable appliance store with no resolution. Frigidaire has stated their are no recalls or prior complaints however googling consumer complaints there are many blogs etc on this matter with Frigidaire & Electrolux ovens.

My Frigidaire wall oven outer glass shattered while baking. While baking we heard a large pop like noise.....upon investigation we found the oven outer glass shattered in to thousands of pieces.
No one was directly in front of the oven at the time of the breakage and there were no injuries.
We tried about a dozen parts stores to buy a new replacement glass ....however we were told the glass is not available and we would have to replace the entire door.
We inquired about door replacement and was told the part would cost over $200.00 if it was available however, the part was out of stock at the manufactures level and is not being manufactured any longer. We continued to search globally for replacement parts however none could be found. We also tried to purchase glass at local glass vendors but they were not able to provide the special type of glass needed
We wound up replacing the complete oven at a expense to us of $2394.96. Clearly there is something wrong with this picture. In addition to this being a safety issue we were forced to replace the complete oven due to the manufacturer not able to supply parts for this unit.

The submitter said the wall oven was delivered on November 15, 2016 and it was installed on April 10, 2017.
The submitter states that the ovens are overheating and they have warped the cabinets around it. She said the oven trim is melting and the cabinets are also discolored. The submitter is concerned that the wall oven will cause the cabinets to catch fire.
The submitter contacted the firm on April 26 and informed them of the safety issue. The firm made an appointment for a technician to examine the oven and ensure that it was installed correctly.
The technician examined the oven on May 3 and advised the submitter that the oven was installed correctly. He also advised the submitter that the temperature of the cabinets around the oven were over 100 degrees and he pointed out that the oven does not have cooling fans.
The submitter spoke with the firm today and they advised her that the ovens are not defective and suggested installing vents in her cabinets. The submitter said she does not want vents installed in her cabinets and she would like to return the oven.
The submitter said she used the oven 3 times and the last time was on April 26.

I am reporting what I think is a serious safety issue with a gas cook top that I purchased in 2013. It is a Frigidaire model FGDS3065KWF. This is a dual utility unit with an electric oven and a gas cook top. From its first use, we have had problems with the gas burners being blown out whenever the oven is in operation, allowing raw gas to continue to escape. This also happens whenever the oven door is opened.
Apparently, there is a fan that ventilates the top side of the oven that creates a negative pressure in the cavity below the gas burners. If the burners are adjusted toward the low side, the flames can be completely sucked down, extinguishing them. We have to keep a close eye on the burners whenever cooking while the oven is in operation. This also requires us to set the burners higher than we want to keep them from blowing out. The fan exhaust also blows out the front of the unit, just above the oven door, which seems to create turbulence over the burners as well.

While using the self-cleaning function on my Frigidaire Gallery Wall Oven, the interior glass panel in the door shattered. The oven is relatively new (around 3 years) and I’ve never used this function before on this particular oven. The oven was not that dirty either, I was trying to save time on Christmas while I was cleaning up the house. I turned on the self-clean to the standard, default setting and left to clean another room. When I returned approximately 1 hour later the glass was shattered. I immediately turned the oven off and didn’t attempt to open the door as it was still hot. When it cooled a few hours later, I tried to open the door, but glass started to fall into the lower oven and all over the floor. I have not touched it since.

I was boiling water on our new stove and I began to smell something burning. When I went to look where the smell was coming from I noticed that the plastic between the stovetop and the control panel was literally bubbling and melting causing smoke and a terrible odor. As this was right next to the control knobs I could have easily burned myself and had I not turned it off immediately I’m afraid of what could have happened had it continued to burn/melt. When we contacted Frigidaire they told us this was a cosmetic issue and they couldn’t do anything. This stove is incredibly dangerous and a potential fire hazard and I’m appalled that they didn’t seem to think it was a concern.

The oven was set to 375 degrees and was “on” for approximately 15 minutes, when the outer glass exploded. The inner glass remained in tact. There were no injuries. Damage was limited to the outer glass.
The outer glass covers the entire height and width of the oven, but the inner glass is 16” W x 10” H. The consumer noted that on newer ovens, the outer glass is the entire height and width of the oven and he believes that this is a factor that contributes to the glass shattering. The consumer looked online and saw numerous reports where other people have experienced a similar problem.
The consumer contacted the retailer, because he purchased the extended warranty. He was told that the extended warranty would kick in after the mfr’s warranty. The consumer told the rep. that he had tried unsuccessfully to contact the mfr. for 2 days. The retailer’s rep contacted the mfr. and provided a contact number for the mfr.
The consumer consumer contacted the manufacturer and initialy they were going to charge him for the replacement glass. After going up the chain of command and explaining to a supervisor that the oven was purchased 6 months ago, the mfr’s rep. provided the replacement oven glass at no charge. The consumer was told by the mfr. that this was a rare problem. The consumer was told that he could contact an authorized mfr’s technician to install the glass that he has already received. The consumer said that he did not have a lot of confidence in the technician that came out and since he himself is handy around the home, he would probably install the glass himself.
The consumer stated that his son cut his foot when he stepped on some of the glass that he did not see. First aid for the cut was provided at home.

We have a Frigidaire wall oven, Model No. FGEW2745KWA, Serial No. NF00738201. It was purchased in 2010 from Sears and made in Canada. Yesterday, as my wife was baking, the exterior glass of the oven door shattered into the kitchen. This is a flat piece of tempered glass which forms the outside of the oven door. There were no injuries.
The temperature of the oven was set to 350° F. The food inside was not burned which indicates that the set baking temperature was not exceeded. There were no external blows to the glass, either shortly before the failure, or ever, that we can remember.
Fridigaire told me that there was no record of a recall of the unit associated with this issue. In researching the problem on the internet I found a number of references to the issue with different ovens or ranges. Some of the failures happened when the occupants were away from home. A remark was made that the Consumer Product Safety Commission was investigating. Hopefully this report will help your investigation.

Toxic smell when first using the oven, had to not cook the thanksgiving turkey in our new oven due to the smell. The whole extended family agreed to the need to turn off the oven due to the terrible chemical smell (eyes/throat burning). I had tried several times thereafter, same thing. So four years later our family still doesn’t use the oven (and uses a $100 toaster oven instead if the $2000 frigidaire gallery oven). There are many reports of this on the Internet. I never tried to return the product, but feel it should be investigated. It was bought early 2010.

Our Frigidaire Slide In Range (Model: FPCS3085LFA; Serial: NF01628476) was not in use and began beeping and displaying an error code (EO 37) across the displays. This has happened before and we have contacted Frigidaire but been told unless the code is actively displayed when a service tech comes to the home it cannot be evaluated. In the past the code and beeping have stopped after a few minutes or we have had to turn off power to the range and they have not resumed when power is turned back on.
During the most recent incident and after the code and beeping continued for 10 minutes or so we turned power off to the stove. After turning the power back on the error code and beeping continued.
Next, the left rear burner spontaneously turned on to high / bright red and failed to turn off, which is our chief complaint. The control was in the off position. A package of mushrooms had been placed on the cook top and began smoldering and power had to be shut off to the stove to turn off the burner.
In recent weeks, the front left burner has also been heating to a high temperature when a low temperature is selected.
This range has a hybrid induction / electric cook top. The left burners are electric. After researching this incident we discovered Frigidaire has had two previous recalls (our model is not included) and the hazards are identical to what we experienced with our range.

We own an Frigidaire Gallery 30 inch. FGEF304DKFB model - just a little over 1 year after owning this unit - the racks in the bottom oven no longer hold up when putting anything on them due to the cavity of the oven being defective / expanding. This problem has led to multiple spills and presents a significant risk of burning of hands when trying to retrieve items that have spilled. Spilled food also results in smoke and fire inside the oven.
Frigidaire recommended we speak to a service provider for repair. The service provider they recommended indicated that this problem could not be fixed and have had prior instances of this issue.
We feel this product is unsafe and should be recalled.

My husband and I purchased a Frigidaire Professional 30” Slide-In Dual-Fuel Range Model: FPDS3085KF in May of 2011 during our home renovation. It was delivered to our house in August 2011 when our kitchen was completed. I noticed that the racks seemed small for the oven and they kept falling down, I asked my husband numerous times to install and reinstall the pull-out latches to help stabilize it (this does not help). In May 2012 I was cooking green beans in a casserole and when I opened the oven the rack fell once again and threw the 400 degree hot boiling liquid out at me. I dodged most of it but suffered a severe burn to my right arm. I called Frigidaire to report the safety concern as the racks are simply too small for the oven. They denied the “bad design” and sent another rack. This past weekend, using the new rack, I had a similar incident and received burns to my hands once again when a rack fell. This is simply a poorly designed oven. I am sending another complaint to Frigidaire!! Someone can and will be seriously injured by this. Have they tested the racks when the oven is hot??? Could the oven expand under high temp causing the racks to just fall? My husband and I are faithful Frigidaire customers (our entire kitchen is Frigidaire). This product is simply unsafe and should be recalled immediatly.

I recently notified Frigidaire about a hazardous problem with my gas stove. I reported that the plastic front panel melted between the knob and power plus burner in my Frigidaire Professional 30” Slide-In Dual-Fuel Range, Model # FPDS3085KF. In their response, the company instructed me to contact a local dealer for the service. As instructed, I contacted the dealer and was informed that the part may be replaced by the similar one. Other words, the dealer was willing to replace melted plastic panel with another plastic panel. At the same time, the manufacturer has been advertising the range to the general public as a stainless steel appliance. Also, in response to my complaint, they made representation that similar problems have not been reported to them before. To me, this is in contradiction to what I researched on the internet. To my best understanding, the problem has been already reported to the manufacturer. I requested return the appliance in exchange for the full refund. This is a fire hazard. Last Friday, July 6th I spoke with a representative of one of your authorized dealers, All American Appliances located in Midland Park NJ. I was informed that for a $60 servicing charges a technician can inspect my range. The servicing charges fee may be applied towards my future purchases, if I decide to replace my range. I was also informed, that the melted plastic front panel, may be replaced with a new one made of the same material (plastic, not metal panel). Replacing the front panel with the part made of the same fire hazardous material will not prevent the same damage from occurring in the future. Please be advised, that ever since the panel melted, I stopped using the power plus burner out of fear that I can set my house on fire. The range I purchased was and has been advertised to the general public as one made of stainless steel. The day before Thanksgiving my stove started to have a burning electrical smell coming out of the door. When I opened the oven door, I saw that the switch that is supposed to depress and turn the light off and on automatically when you open the door was glowing. I touched it with a wooden spoon and particles of glowing plastic came off on to my rug. I quickly pulled the stove away from the wall and unplugged it. I contacted Frigidaire and was told that my stove was no longer under warranty, so there was nothing they could do except to recommend an approved repairman. Had I not been home, who knows what could have happened, but I believe there would have been a fire.

We purchased 5 Frigidaire appliances from Barto’s appliance in New Orleans on 11/14/09. After 2 months, we replaced the washing machine (could not be repaired). After 5 months, our dishwasher went out (repaired), 8 months it went out again (repaired), 12 months it went out again (replaced). Our oven is another story....it turned on by itself on 8/9/11. My husband was walking in the kitchen at 6 am and noticed heat coming from the oven, he opened the door and it felt like it had just finished cooking something.
