The product, in the report: ZLINE dual fuel kitchen range, model number RA-48
We installed a new ZLINE RA-48 range in our house on 11 SEP, 2025. Over the last six months, perhaps more, we have noticed the smell of natural gas near the range. Our utility company came out to inspect the unit and found gas leaking from all seven burners. It was immediately RED TAGGED, gas shut off and we have not had the use of it since. The unit was inspected and red tagged on 14 SEP 2026. This ZLINE range was in normal domestic service.

The product, in the report: 36” Zline RG36 gas range and oven
I have a gas (propane) zline oven that was recalled a couple years ago. The company, Zline has done a number of repairs. We recently started smelling a very acrid, noxious gas smell when using the oven. On Christmas day while using it (with the hood vent turned on to the highest setting) my family and I started to experience headaches, dizziness and irritability. I immediately stopped using the oven and have tried contacting zline to resolve the issue. They told me it was a bent hinge and the door wasn’t closing properly (which was not the case). It took them over a month to send replacement parts and a repair person. When the repair person came, they said the door was not bent but the oven was not safe to use as it was emitting acrid smells through the back vent of the oven. I let zline know and they told me it wasn’t their problem and they are not longer liable for the oven or my health while using it.

The product, in the report: ZLINE SGR36 gas stove stainless steel
We purchased a zline stove in 2022 (rg36) under their recall for those models we got it replaced with the newer model (sgr36) in january of 2024. To this day our carbon monoxide detector is still going off just like the old one when it is turned on. Since i got a direct replacement, ZLINE says this stove isnt covered under warranty. One year later im still fighting with them and they wont do anything about it. New stove is still a piece of junk like the old one!

The product, in the report: Zline 36” gas range. Model RG36.
Zline 36” gas range that was recalled for carbon monoxide leaking was replaced. New unit stopped working in 8 months and oven timer turns on automatically potentially leaking gas and carbon monoxide. Zline refuses to repair this and will only send parts after attempting to diagnose the issue over email.

The product, in the report: I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding my ZLINE 36 in. 6 Burner Dual Fuel 1 Range with Brass Burners (Model: RAS-SN-BR-36). Despite receiving three recall notices and undergoing two separate repair attempts, I have been recently informed that my specific model is not included in the recall. This is particularly concerning given the consistent and hazardous issues I have experienced with the unit. From the onset, the range has demonstrated significant operational flaws. All burners produce excessively high flames, resulting in unavoidable and unsafe rolling boils, regardless of the heat setting. This not only limits the functionality of the range but also poses a serious safety risk. Additionally, the use of the stove leads to a noticeable gas odor permeating throughout the kitchen. This has necessitated the continuous use of a carbon monoxide filter adjacent to the stovetop, underscoring the potential health hazards posed by the unit.

Given the severity of these issues and the fact that my model has been erroneously excluded from the recall, I urge the Commission to take immediate action. It is imperative that the manufacturer, ZLINE, be held accountable for releasing a potentially dangerous product and failing to adequately address the defects through its recall process.
I seek a thorough investigation into this matter and request an appropriate remedy, which may include but is not limited to, a full replacement or refund. The safety and well-being of consumers should be of paramount concern, and it is distressing that such a serious issue has not been properly resolved.
Please let me know if there are any supporting documents that I can provide.

Re: Zline gas range/ oven Model RG30: Existing Recall RGRECALL-00449439-Case # [REDACTED]
New email from Zline dated 9.14.23 that there are still product problems- is CPSC aware of this? Background: I received the recall notice via email from Zline dated 12.29.22 about the voluntary recall of their product. At the time I did not feel safe keeping the equipment, and now even less so since on 9.14.23 I received a new email from the manufacturer about problems. I have forwarded this today to info@cpsc.gov.
I am super unhappy that over 9 months later I am getting an email from the company Zline, months after the repair was performed, that the product still has problems and that consumers should be sure to use their fan and make sure the carbon monoxide alarm is working. Seriously? I am 100% not comfortable with this process or the outcome and I want to return this product and get it out of my house as soon as possible. I am concerned that the CPSC even allowed a manufacturer driven repair approach without any (visible) external monitoring. Each and every range/ oven should have had an inspection by a third party to confirm that there is/ was not carbon monoxide being emitted, and probably some kind of ongoing oversight. In any case, I urge the CPSC to take stronger measures with safety issues, and also to require manufacturers to accept and manage returns. I personally request a return, and for Zline to pick up the product and make sure it does not end up in someone else’s home. Thank you

Re: Gas Stove Recall RG36 Serial # RG36-20122611
Dear Zline Customer Service,
I am writing to express my deep concern about the recent recall of my gas stove due to a carbon monoxide issue. I purchased the stove less than two years ago, and a non-related repair was done 3-6 months after purchase. It was scheduled with Zline customer service and performed by a Zline authorized technician. I provided the model and serial number of the stove to customer service to schedule the repair.
Despite this, I was not directly contacted by Zline regarding the recall of my stove. It was only after my family started experiencing symptoms like teary eyes and headaches that I did my own research and found the recall notice on Zline’s website. My dog has been experiencing seizures for over a year. I find it hard to believe that Zline did not have my contact information on record, considering that I provided the model and serial number of the stove during the first repair.
I am writing to alert you that your policy of not reaching out to customers with recalled products could lead to serious injury and/or death. It is imperative that you take immediate steps to improve your customer communication and outreach process to ensure that all customers are alerted to any potential safety issues with their products.
I would appreciate it if you could investigate why I was not contacted regarding the recall and what steps you are taking to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. Please let me know what actions you are taking to address this matter and what compensation or support you are offering to affected customers.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely, [REDACTED] CC: NJ Consumer Affairs AskConsumerAffairs@dca.njoag.gov SaferProducts.gov 800-638-2772

The product, in the report: Z-Line Gas Stove/Oven RG-30
IN October I contacted Z-Line appliances. I know it has a recall since Dec 29,2023. I have been in contact with them. My knobs just continually go round and round. They sent a new knob and I had a appliance man come and install. It would not work. Prior to that we had smelled gas in the morning. We have since had to shut everything off. We have not had a cooking appliance for almost 4 months.

The product, in the report: ZLINE Kitchen and Bath ZLINE 36 in. Professional 4.6 cu. ft. 6 Gas on Gas Range in Stainless Steel (RG36)
Hello,
I am writing this email in regard to instance ID# [REDACTED] with information pertaining to my Zline RG36 gas range. I have called in to the proper consumer contact number, filed a claim and it has been escalated to their supervisor. My appliance was purchased through Home Depot store [REDACTED] (order number [REDACTED]).
The range was installed at the beginning of 2021 in our new home build that was currently under construction. Around the date of May 13, 2021, I hired a licensed energy audit professional [REDACTED] to determine an energy rating for the subject property. As a part of the energy rating report, the auditor also conducted an Energy Cost and Features Report. I have also included that as an uploaded file attachment for supporting documentation.
It was noted in the, ‘Rater Notes’ on the Energy Cost and Features report near the bottom of the document that “Oven is producing excessive Carbon Monoxide, needs serviced immediately by a qualified professional.” The energy auditor instructed us to not use the oven in any way until the issue is addressed. He verbally noted the CO levels at nearly 1,000 at the time of the testing.
After the construction of the home was completed and my family of 5 moved in, I called Zline Customer Support to request service of the oven. I sent the Energy Cost and Features Report to them and was told they would search for a local appliance technician to perform the necessary repairs and fix the issue. After a short time, they called back and I was told no local appliance techs were available in my area. Customer support told me that if I could find an appliance tech that could address the issue, they would refund me for the cost of the invoice (once approved by management). I was unable to find any local technicians.
I called Zline back and discussed options with customer support. I was told by a representative that they would provide me with 10% off any new appliance purchase through Zline, if I choose to buy a new range.
We have never used the oven part of this range and feel that for the money we spent purchasing it, we should have had the issue easily resolved by Zline. We would feel it appropriate if Zline could provide an appliance buyback and we will discard the defective appliance.
I can’t believe Zline’s failure to properly address a major health & safety concern produced by my oven, especially when the CO emission is well documented by a licensed professional and submitted to Zline for review. I would like to seek fair reimbursement of the full appliance cost as this oven has been unusable for its entirety for my family of 5 and poses a major safety concern. Zline was previously made fully aware of the issue and failed to act in a positive manner to reach a fair resolution.

Operation of oven of ZLINE model RG36 gas range trips carbon monoxide sensor in the house. Informed ZLINE of the issue, they advised local gas utility to inspect. Local gas utility indicated that the range should be fixed by manufacturer. Manufacturer indicated out of warranty, nothing to be done. Most 3rd party repair companies will not touch the brand. Found a repairman to inspect later on, he indicated that the design flaw is inherent to the manufacturer, advised to look online to see it’s a common issue (excessive gas leak, faulty range, or broken parts). Afraid to operate the oven for the last 2 months with no resolution from the company (offer to sell parts, authorized repair company, etc). Many consumers complaining of inability to contact or resolve issues.
