The product, in the report: Thor 30” Professional Gas Range - Model HRG3080U
My Thor Range Model Number HRG3080U18 Serial Number 03353 has been making my electrical breaker for my stove outlet pop. Long story short, I went to repair the oven and what I found was completely shocking. The igniter (glow bar) got so hot that it melted the gas burner, causing it to flow upward and short out against the igniter! What an insane fire safety hazard! You could burn your house down with a failure like this! The crazy thing is that I am not the only person that this has happened to. Doing a quick search tonight I found another individual who had this SAME EXACT THING happen to them who posted a review on [REDACTED]. This product is absolutely not safe to be in someone’s home and should be recalled immediately!

No one hurt Made May 25, 2020, sent to the company Jul 2, 2020, published by CPSC Jul 17, 2020
The product, in the report: Thor-LRG4807U 48” PRO Stainless Steel Natural Gas Sealed Burner Double Oven Range - Convection
We bought a Thor Range on 4/4/20 from Goedeker’s. We purchased online for delivery and purchased installation as well. The range was delivered and installed on 4/30/20. We have had a number of issues with the range, including oven not heating properly and stove top burners not getting hot enough to boil a pot of water. But the biggest concern is that shortly after the range was installed, we began noticing that the large oven turns on and off by itself. Periodically throughout the day, the oven will turn on, will preheat, and will then shut itself off. This happens over and over again and the oven is always warm. This all happens with the oven completely in the “off” position. In addition, a repair person was sent to our house and confirmed that everything was installed correctly. We have done everything possible to ensure that the oven control knob is properly in the off position, and yet this continues. Because the range is opening and closing the gas valve and releasing gas and then igniting all by itself nonstop, we are very concerned about this being a significant safety issue. A quick search of reviews online reveals that other consumers have experienced this same issue with Thor ovens.
The specific model of the range we purchased is: Thor-LRG4807U 48” PRO Stainless Steel Natural Gas Sealed Burner Double Oven Range - Convection
I immediately contacted Goedekers and requested immediate help with this issue, but to date have received none and the unsafe range is still in our home. Goedekers reports that they have escalated to the manufacturer but have not received a resolution yet.
