The product, in the report: TGC3601212481 THOR COOK TOP 36 inch Gas
HI My name is [REDACTED] and I purchased a cooktop from BESTBUY.com in September 2022 with a serial number “[REDACTED]” . After a week of using, the burners failed to fire the ignition spark , causing the gas to leak all over. In the link is the video of that behavior”[REDACTED] ” . I contacted THOR Customer Support via phone/email on September Fri, Sep 23, 2022 and THOR assigned a Technician name “[REDACTED]” and their phone # is [REDACTED]. The Technicians arrived on November 3rd for the first time and tried to fix the cooktop. They dismantled the cooktop and tried to fix the issue. They found the parts could be defective and called THOR and ordered a few parts. Once the parts arrived, they came back on Nov 28, 2002 and tried to fix again with the new parts. However the burners still fail to ignite and still causing dangerous levels of gas leakage again and causing health and lung issues when being close to it. The technician called Thor and provided them an update saying that the cooktop is defective and needs to be replaced. ?After following up with THOR multiple times over phone and email, they assigned me a new technician called “[REDACTED]” and his number is “?[REDACTED]?”. He arrived on January 25th 2023 and tried all day to fix it and eventually failed, despite bringing THOR TECHNICAL Team on his call. I was told today January 26th by “[REDACTED]” that the cooktop is defective and needs to be replaced. ?The product is under 2 year warranty and the company THOR failed to provide me solution and fix for this dangerous and faulty cooktop. This is causing health issue as the gas that leaks is dangerous and could be proven lethal if not taken care immediately. ??I request the agency to take necessary action and help me on this issue Thanks [REDACTED] [REDACTED] Ph [REDACTED]

The product, in the report: Thor Kitchen HRG3080U 30” Freestanding Professional Style Gas Range with 4.2 cu. ft. Oven, 4 Burners, Convection Fan, Cast Iron Grates, and Blue Porcelain Oven Interior, in Stainless Steel
Purchased a Thor Kitchen 30” gas range in June of 2017. The unit has had many problems over the years. But a critical issue is the fact that the unit has started to turn on by itself. I did not believe it at first when my wife told me until I heard it firing up by itself late one night. This is VERY dangerous. I have located several other reviews online with people that are having the same problem. I know I am out of warranty, and probably will not receive any help or refund from Thor. I am mainly concerned with other people getting hurt by this problem. There are other online reviews on Amazon which indicate people have had the same problem of the unit turning on by itself. I have video of the range firing up by itself, clearly showing the oven knob in the off position but the flames are going inside the oven.
I have never seen anything like this in my life. Thankfully we were home to notice the problem and a fire did not start. The unit has been unplugged and gas has been turned off. Even if it could be repaired, I dont trust their products now. This is a big problem for them and again I just dont want to see anyone get hurt

No one hurt Made May 18, 2018, sent to the company Jul 18, 2018, published by CPSC Aug 1, 2018
The product, in the report: 48” Professional propane SS kitchen range with double oven.
Range has small and large ovens. The small one has had repeated issues with propane gas explosions and now flames shooting out of the grate below the cooking space. The manufacturer has sent repair men out many times for this issue and other issues with the range...
The flames that they seem unable to correct seem to be a safety issue.
