The product, in the report: Amana Standard Cleaning Gas Range
The pilot on my Gas Range Amana Standard Cleaning Gas Range (Model # AGR3311WDW1; Serial # VEO3301791) comes on on its own. I only turn the gas on when I need to use it to cook or bake something. I am not sure when this began, my best guess would be in August. I didnt know what to do as this appliance came with the home when I bought it and I have only been in the home since 10/2010. At first I thought it was an oversight but than began paying closer attention to it and realized it was coming on (the pilot would ignite) but it would not fire up as the thermostat was not turned up and then would go out within a minute or two. Since I am on a tight budget and in all honesty did not know where to turn until I saw the report on the Electric Range that had a mind of its own and that you were able to assist those consumers. I thought that perhaps I could get some assistance resolving this issue as well.
