The product, in the report: LG freestanding gas oven, model number LRG4115ST. ProBake Convection, 6.3 cu.ft. capacity, UltraHeat™ 18.5K BTU Power Burner, Front-Tilt Control Knobs
I am concerned about a potential safety hazard involving the knob assembly on the front of an LG gas range, model LRG4115ST, that we had installed on November 8. The knobs are too easily turned from the off position with incidental contact, causing gas to start leaking. This has happened repeatedly both when using other burners on the cooktop, but just as frequently when not using the range at all, but merely standing close doing other tasks. My concern is that there’s a potential for a gas buildup and explosion, or a fire if the burner is ignited. I have contacted LG about this matter, and they initially told me that I can get a cover for the knobs, which sounded like a good solution. However, they first referred me to the place of purchase, Home Depot, and Home Depot knew of no such thing. LG then connected me with their parts and accessories supplier, Encompass, but again they had no such cover for the knobs. I have since called LG back, and they are now sending a technician to our home this Wednesday, November 23, 2016.
