The product, in the report: GE TruTemp Gas Range, standard size, free standing, black
On several occasions, we have smelled gas in the house and subsequently discovered that one of the stove-top control knobs was inadvertently turned slightly when bumped or leaned against, releasing gas without our knowledge. This has happened with different knobs on the range, not just one. These knobs turn and release gas with very little pressure and movement, unlike others we have owned in the past. Sometimes it was several minutes before someone smelled the gas! I am very concerned that gas could fill the house when no one is in the immediate area, or that it may fill the kitchen and be sparked by something else, and we may not notice in time to avert a tragic accident!!
