The product, in the report: Gas cooktop (built-in), Fotile EPS series Fuel type: Natural Gas
After approximately two years of normal household use, both burners on my Fotile EPS series gas cooktop began leaking gas at the same time.
The burners ignite normally, but when the flame is reduced to a low setting, gas leakage becomes significant. When the flame is increased, the leakage appears reduced but does not fully stop. This behavior occurs on both burners simultaneously.
I reported the issue to the manufacturer and repeatedly requested an on-site inspection by an authorized technician, but no actionable local service contact or scheduling option was provided. The manufacturer’s technical team conducted a remote assessment and stated that the issue might be related to deformation of burner-related components. Replacement parts for both burners were shipped without any on-site inspection. I was advised that self-repair with remote guidance is an acceptable option for gas-related issues.
Because the gas leakage occurred on both burners at the same time, I was concerned that shared or upstream gas components might be involved. Without an on-site inspection by an authorized technician, I could not confirm that replacing individual burner parts would fully resolve the gas leakage or eliminate safety risk.
To mitigate ongoing safety risk, I replaced the cooktop. No injuries occurred during the incident.
