Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

First aid Made Nov 19, 2025, sent to the company Nov 21, 2025, published by CPSC Dec 8, 2025
The product, in the report: Ref Case [REDACTED] During routine cooking, the Danby stove’s poorly fitting and uneven burner grates failed to secure the cooking vessel, resulting in a sudden and dangerous loss of stability. Specifically, the grates shifted under the weight of a pot, causing the vessel to tip and its hot contents to spill, resulting in severe burns. This incident is not isolated; the unstable and improperly designed grates frequently shift during use, which has led to me sustaining burns on several prior occasions from the exposed hot metal of the moving grates themselves. This ongoing instability presents an unreasonable and persistent safety hazard that the manufacturer has failed to address.

No incident, no one hurt Made Jan 25, 2021, sent to the company Feb 23, 2021, published by CPSC Mar 9, 2021
The product, in the report: Danby Gas Range Model number: DR240WGLP Color: White
There was a malfunction within the Danby Gas Range, Model #DR240WGLP.
After using the range, the oven was turned off. However, the oven would not shut off, even when the gas valve was shut off. The fire department had to come and shut off the valve and also call out the local DTE energy company to ensure it was not an issue with the gas. When they plugged the stove back in and ignited the top burners, the broiler turned on by itself. They immediately disconnected and told us the oven had malfunctioned and could have led to a severe house fire or explosion.
