The product, in the report: Char Broil Performance Black 4-Burner Liquid Propane Gas Grill with 1 Side Burner
Char Broil grill (Performance Black 4-Burner Liquid Propane Gas Grill with 1 Side Burner) purchased from Lowe’s caught on fire due to the propane tank hose not being properly attached to the propane tank regulator. Lowe’s assembled the grill but denies responsibility, stating that they receive those parts already assembled from Char Broil and that has nothing to do with Lowe’s part of the assembly process. The fire began at the tank when I ignited the grill. Upon moving the grill away from my house, the propane tank fell off the holder and the entire grill became engulfed in flames. I used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire, and the fire department came to my home. The firemen stated the cause of the fire was the disconnect between the hose and the regulator. My hand was slightly burnt, the front of the grill is destroyed, as well as a few items that were nearby.
