  1. No one hurt

Made Jan 29, 2026, sent to the company Feb 3, 2026, published by CPSC Feb 18, 2026

The product, in the report: Cafe drop in gas cooktop Model Number CGP70362N1S1

[REDACTED] technician came out to our emergency call about gas smell, and detected gas leak at burner knobs of our Cafe gas cooktop Model CGP70362N1S1. Unit was RED TAGGED and disconnected by the same technician, with safety gas valve turned off. He advised we call appliance repair technician to address the issue as soon as possible, given that issue was within the appliance and it could escalate at any time. Family of four, including two children, have been exposed to this hazard, and we cannot establish for how long this leak existed. Appliance was installed in new house, and first time used in 2023, therefore this failure is happening after less than 3 years of service.
