This happened with a Bertazzoni MAS(T)365GASXE kitchen range. The oven was being used by an adult in the customary manner. It had been on at approximately 350 F and had been on for approximately 45 minutes. When the oven door was opened, the inner glass of the oven door exploded/shattered spontaneously. The glass was not knocked, bumped or contacted with anything cold(other than ambient air). Prior to this there was nt evidence of any defect in the glass. The glass fragments were propelled widely across the room, fortunately without injury.

Inner oven glass popped and shattered spontaneously while baking food at 400 degrees F. Oven hardly ever used and installed new in 2018.

The product, in the report: 6-burner, gas range, single convection oven in stainless steel.
My wife turned our oven up to 500 degrees for 10 minutes, when she went to turn the temperature down to 425, the oven’s inside door glass shattered into thousands of shards. Fortunately, she wasn’t injured but, we are still left with around 10 pounds of glass to dig out of every corner of the oven. The most disturbing factor is that this is the 2nd time this has happened over the last year. Bertazzoni is sending out a new door glass but, it will cost well over $150 to have it installed (I did the first install myself... it wasn’t easy and the instructions were very little help!). The fact that they didn’t give me a hard time the second time makes we believe that this is a problem they are having a lot.
Ideally, they should cover broken oven door glass for 3-5 years and include the labor.

The glass door on my Bertazoni gas range shattered while preheating it. The oven is 18 months old. Had I been putting something in the oven at that time glass would have blown into my face and eyes. It exploded into hundreds of pieces.

The product, in the report: 30” Deluxe Pro Style Gas Range
The consumer says it is very easy for the grates to tip over during use. He says he typically cooks with the handle at an angle. He says the grates dont prevent a pan from tipping over. The consumer says it poses a burn hazard. The consumer says he was using small frying pan on left front burner. He says the grates over top of the burner are shaped like a cross. the weight of the handle caused the pan to tip. The pan had oil in it. When it tipped it went far enough over that the oil came out and their was a small fire.
