The product, in the report: 30” stainless steel range hood with two integral lights, two integral heat lamps and exhaust fan speed controls.
The range exhaust hood is provided to the consumer with the grounded and ungrounded conductors wired in reverse.
Additionally, the electric grounding conductor is not bonded to the power outlets provided in the hood to power an external fan.
The hood contains four E27 light sockets. Due to the improper wiring the socket itself becomes energized, posing a shock hazard.
Similarly, any fan powered from the power outlets in the hood will not be bonded to the electric grounding conductor. Power will also be supplied via the grounded conductor. This also poses a significant safety hazard.
