I own an LG electric range, model LSEL6333D, which is part of LGs official recall due to front-mounted control knobs that can accidentally activate and cause fires.

Approximately one year prior to the recall, I sustained a burn injury when a burner activated unintentionally. I reported this directly to LG, warning them that the knobs activate too easily and pose serious safety hazards. LG took no corrective action and only suggested warning stickers and using the control lock, which do not prevent accidental activation while the stove is in use.

In February 2026, the stove again activated unintentionally while a toaster was sitting on the cooktop, filling my home with heavy smoke and creating a near-house fire situation. I experienced headaches, respiratory irritation, and significant emotional distress.

LG had prior notice of this defect and failed to act. I am extremely concerned about continued risk of fire, injury, and property damage. I am requesting regulatory enforcement and corrective action.

The product, in the report: LG electric drop in range Thin Q stainless steel bake convection air fry oven.

Remodeled kitchen covered all appliances with drop cloths to prevent damage. Knobs got bumped and caught drop cloths on fire melted it to our brand new electric cook top. Also turns burners on with general cleaning. THIS is a SERIOUS and DANGEROUS PROBLEM. Product should absolutely be recalled before someone gets hurt or Worse!!! A lock warning sticker will not help with children or pets I

Knobs on the front of the stove turn easily without being turned by hand. You can brush up again them and the knob turns the stove on. Right front burner will get extremely hot, when you only have it on low, then it will not turn off even when you turn the knob off, the burner stays on.

The product, in the report: Domestic kitchen, electric stove. LG ThinQ series. Stainless steel panels & glass cook top. Model #LREL 6323S /01.

I did not have an incident to report, however I see the potential for incidents due to a manufacturing defect. The numbers on my LG Range, Model # LREL6323S /01 are washing off of the control panel making it difficult to accurately set the burner heat. Or the burner mode. (This model of stove has some dual sized burners that one portion of the dial controls an inner burner for use with smaller diameter pans, and an outer burner ring for use with larger pans. The control panel has the numbers indicating the portion of the burner and heat range that the burner knob is setting it to.) I feel that this creates a high potential for burns and cooking fires due to an inability to accurately set the burner heat. I contacted the seller, and the manufacturer to try to get a decal / sticker kit to re-apply the numbers. I was told that; A. It is a “Cosmetic” issue and not covered by Warranty. B. The only fix that they have is to replace the control panel. Costing approximately 250 US Dollars for the part. Labor and service call fees over & above parts apply.
