No one hurt Made May 17, 2026, sent to the company May 20, 2026, published by CPSC Jun 4, 2026
The product, in the report: Single burner induction cooktop
I have a four year old Duxtop induction cooktop, model #9100MC/BT-M20B. It has started to turn itself on randomly. If a pot is left on the cooktop, it could easily start a fire. Amazon reviews show that others have experienced this same problem.

Hurt, no treatment Made Dec 11, 2022, sent to the company Dec 14, 2022, published by CPSC Dec 29, 2022
The product, in the report: Portable induction cooker
When I turned the Duxtop induction cooktop on, with a pot of water on it, my 12-year-old daughter started screaming with what she describes as a terrible headache across the front of her face and at her temples. When I turned it off, her headache immediately went away. When I turned it back on, without her looking and without telling her, she immediately started screaming again. I tried it again a few weeks later (today) when she was in the next room reading, and she immediately started screaming again. There’s no way for her to have faked this--it’s doing something terrible to her head, and frankly, I feel a little dizzy while using it, too. This is an extremely dangerous product.
