The product, in the report: Clothes Iron
My Procter Silex Iron Model 17290Y series had an electrical surge in the handle and caught on fire inside the handle while I was ironing. It is now useless. It was very scary and should be recalled. I also bought the same iron for my daughter to take to college, but I have kept it at home because I feel it will eventually catch on firer as mine has and could be a major dangerous accedent in a college dorm. I was told by manufacturer I would receive a prepaid UPS lable to return my iron, but I have never received one. I then received a phone message that they would not replace my daughter’s iron because it worked fine now even theough it is the same model & series as the one that caught on fire.
